Rupes 150 mm (6 inch) Green Medium Foam Pad
This pad is the second step in the Rupes Big Foot Polishing System. The Green Medium Foam Pad is very dense in its construction and was designed to be used with Rupes Quarz Gloss Medium Gel Compound to remove swirl marks, water spots and other paint imperfections. This pad is aggressive enough for most applications on factory clear coat systems. Always follow this pad with a less aggressive pad/polish combination to maximize gloss and surface smoothness.
Discontinued.

Fast cutting
July 7, 2020
While some other brands try to balance cut and finish of their pads, Rupes does not. You can definitely tell you have compounded with this pad and it's matching Rupes compound, as you will have to follow up with a yellow or white Rupes polishing pad and their matching polishes. It cuts fast with fewer passes than other brand pads. I only go to this pad when heavy correction is needed.

Good pad for more aggressive cutting. Works well, like all Rupes products do.

I break it out when the yellow just isn't "cutting it"

Holds up well very stiff in comparison to the yellow pads. Definitely a must-have in the arsenal. I use it mainly on scratched up bumpers and lower rocker panels.
I bought a few more after using this for the first time.
Rupes quality and works as expected.

Decent enough for basic applications...

This is a decent pad (along with its' compound), however I have found this pad requires multiple passes for some paint corrections. This pad is 1 level more aggressive than the yellow pad which is already very fine.
While this pad it's decent for basic applications/2500-3000 grit wetsanding...I definitely suggest the blue pad with the blue compound if you plan on wet sanding/buffing deeper scratches (1500-2000 grit).
Overall great for everyday use
Cleans easily with air compressor
"decent" overall. Yellow is still better for polishing, blue for a faster cut.

The Rupes 150mm pad is a good pad to use. I use it on vehicles and motorcycles for my detailing business
Does not like fiberglass body parts
