The blue foam is designed for compounding and swirl removal. This closed cell pre-polymer foam restores oxidized and heavily swirled paint. Looks can be deceiving; the blue pad looks coarse but actually finishes with no marring. You'll achieve an almost wax-ready finish in one step. I prefer the Lake Country Hydrotech line of pads when using traditional orbitals, and forced rotation polishers.
The Cyan cutting pad delivers incredible cut, and a surprising amount of gloss.
While it works great with all types of polishes, it seems to really like Menzerna / Jescar.
I use these pads with Porter Cable 7424xp, and the Flex 3401. Tall stroke polishers are very, very hard on this type of foam, and tens to wear them faster.
Please note that these are the original thicker pads. The newer thinner pads share all the attributes.
