Great kit, 5" backing plate is what you need

Nice buffer and the kit is amazing. Totally worth it to purchase the kit, you get a lot for the extra $40 difference from tool only purchase. The 6" backing plate that comes with the tool is just useless, so you might end up to buy the 5" separate if not in the kit, pads are always good, specially when you just get into this game. The 4 stars is for the tool stalling over any edge (maybe I need to get used to it) and those microfiber towels are poor quality, put them in the garbage or just keep them to clean the tool at the end of the job, not good for anything else.
5" plate included
all pads you need to start the job included
quality polisher with lifetime warranty - can't beat that
polisher stalling on edges
poor quality microfiber towels in this kit

Great comprehensive package

Purchased this earlier this year and have been waiting to use it a full year before reviewing. Very happy with the polisher and the pads. I have performed minor paint correction on a Subaru Outback and a Ford Focus with fantastic results. Might have to expand the tool set to the G8 as well now.
