I would call this .75 of 1 step. Start at least with an orange pad (thats what the bottle says as well) and you most likely will either 1, need to do a correction w/true compound first and/or 2, the product can do only so much and use a MF or like pad that can assist the wax. It is really more like a cream imo
On cars that looked real solid, not mega swirled or even mistreated, this finished excellent, nearly no dust whatsoever, on and off with a plush MF and a very EASY swipe. It still had a little tougher time creating a perfect finish but it got I would say maybe 85%, if it wasnt for the hood, id say 95% of a well maintained car. I prefer this WAY MORE than their spray coating, which imo is not good, streaky, and harder to work with. This is so much better, and the results are way better. Although they obviously suggest topping it with their spray, I would use a different spray and have been, as a topper. Does not really need a topper, but WOW when you do. Something like Reload or any WG/Pinnacle etc makes this incredible and kicks it up a notch. When time matters, this could go out the door without a topper.
Very hesitant to call it a full one step, and I dont think Griots has truly said it is, but even on a well maintained car, you may need a bit more whether in the pad or product. I hate working the product to hard especially for something you know it may struggle with. I wish this was a bit more abrasive instead of having to get more aggressive. That is the tradeoff. It would be my immediate one step OTD product without question.
Best part....had absolutely NO problems after application, so easy to come off, did not disrupt back trim. The cars I have done look very close to having a true ceramic coating application. Will find out how it holds up over time because we just started using it as it became available !
Looks, feels and appears like a coated vehicle and not just a polished one.
Price/value/quality
Ease of use - speed of on/off, not hunting and leveling
Not very abrasive (struggled with lightly used/low miles/above average maintained vehicles)
Struggles with normal wear compared to typical compound or even gentle ones, or more abrasive 1-steps)
Wish Griots would change the bottle cap/tip design - a pointed tip would be great and something more controllable (not really a knock to THIS alone)
