Meguiar’s M122 Surface Prep readies your car’s surface for paint correction, touch-up paint or a coating. Meguiar’s M122 Surface Prep will remove residues and oils for a bare finish, giving way for maximum adhesion. Meant to be used in the Meguiar’s M122 Surface Prep Secondary Bottle, the spray bottle allows for quick and easy application, with the spray and wipe method. The formula found in Meguiar’s M122 Surface Prep is body shop safe and is uniquely formulated so that it doesn’t swell or stain paint. This formula also helps save the life of your pads, as most solvent-heavy products would cause them to clog.
DIRECTIONS:
-Before applying any coating or touch-up paint, spray M122 Surface Prep Spray onto cool surface.
-Use a clean, microfiber towel to wipe away remaining residue, turning to a dry side of towel for a final wipe.
-Be sure to wipe adjacent areas to ensure no undesired transfer occurs.
-Repeat mist & wipe process a second time to ensure removal of contaminants.

Meguiar's M122 Surface Prep

I read about this new product over on the Meguair's web site. Basically it replaces IPA and is used to remove all waxes, polishes and fingerprints prior to final inspection and applying the final coat of wax. I have been using this product instead of IPA and I ma happy with the results.
Very easy to use I recommend ordering the Meguiar's M122 Surface Prep spray bottle at the same time.

Used it last week on two paint corrections, FABULOUS! Both were outside in the sun and I didn't have any issues on either the silver Tesla paint or the Black Toyota paint. Awesome product!
Would have loved the option to purchase the Meguiars spray bottle with the M122 label.

As far as a product goes, this stuff appears to work. It doesn't smell (almost like a mild windex odor) and it made the polish residue removal quite simple.

Cleans the panel well, no residue, doesn't have much of a odor to it and it's a little bit soapy, foamy and opaque blue in color.
I like the way car pro eraser works better but this is much cheaper so it will do.
Inexpensive compared to Carpro eraser and Gyeon on prep.
None that I can think of.
