I bought 2 3 Inch FLEX PE8 Heavy Orange Rotary Foam Pads to try. I love them. Just bought 6 more.
Good for light cutting. holds compound well. pads last a long time. No swirl marks.

Flex foam pads are the greatest. The Velcro is really sticky even after repeated cleanings and washings. They also hold their ability to cut and polish longer than cheaper bargain pads.

Go-to pad for smaller areas

This is my preferred pad for small areas. It is sturdy and stands up to the power of my rotary. It has good cutting power and finishes well without leaving trails or holograms.
